Good to start, initially enough power to get out through the waves but the wind dropped and turned onshore which got rather frustrating. Refreshed after something to eat and drink so I tried again and did better - helped by the wind picking up and turning a bit less onshore. It was quite a workout getting out through the waves with some head high waves further out. I stopped after hitting a wall of water with no way past when I couldn't hold on and after a thorough rinsing I had a good swim to catch my kit.
